Job Summary
Technical Director – Structural to lead technical delivery, governance, and sign-off of structural designs across Fiji and New Zealand, with potential work in Australia; mentor engineers, drive cross-border delivery, and contribute to business development through client engagement and technical leadership. Responsible for overall technical quality, programme delivery, compliance with Fiji/NZ/AU/international standards, and collaboration with the Country Manager and NZPac Structures Business Group Leader to grow the Structures discipline and align with broader strategy. Hybrid role based in Suva, Fiji, combining in-office collaboration with flexible work arrangements; strong client-facing abilities and credibility with regulators are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant university degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Chartered Engineer (CPEng or equivalent) with ability to independently review and sign off structural designs
- Experience delivering and overseeing projects in Fiji; New Zealand and/or Australia experience highly regarded
- Strong technical background in structural engineering; governance to engineering teams
- Commercially astute with experience supporting business development and client relationships
- Excellent communication skills with clients, internal stakeholders and regulators
- Mentoring and developing engineers; leadership and collaboration
- Ability to lead technical delivery, governance and design outcomes across multiple regions
- Hybrid in-office collaboration and flexibility in Suva
