Job Summary
Technical Director for Play 2 at Glenbard East supervises all activities of the student organization, oversees elections and candidate approvals, trains officers, maintains club operations, approves announcements and materials, attends meetings and events, inventories equipment, submits required forms, collaborates with APSS, and ensures compliance with district policies. The role requires strong written and verbal communication, ability to analyze documents, present information, build relationships with staff and community, mathematics and problem-solving ability, and proficiency with technology and Skyward accounts. Work is performed at Glenbard East High School in Lombard, IL, with standard school duties and occasional travel to events as described.
Required Qualifications
- Supervise all activities of the student organization
- Approve all candidates for each club office before elections
- Train officers and members in handling of their offices
- Guide students in operation of the club
- Submit constitution or charter when first organized
- Approve club announcements, meeting dates, activities, flyers, t-shirts
- Be present at meetings, social events, fund-raising activities
- Complete forms and reports as directed in the Student Activities Handbook
- Consult with APSS for smooth functioning
- Represent club at activity nights and booster events
- Ensure representation at Presidents Council Meetings
- Coordinate with APSS/Activity Director to access Skyward accounts
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents
- Ability to write professional communications
- Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to varying situations
- Maintain current job skills, especially in technology-related activities
- Comply with district requirements and school policies
- Ability to work at a single job site with occasional off-site meetings/events
