Job Summary
Supervise staff and local labor during scheduled calls to ensure proper use of house equipment and efficient labor allocation. Advance events, meet with clients, and technical staff to discuss production needs and schedule crew calls across venues including the Peace Concert Hall, Gunter Theatre, and outdoor Peace Pavilion. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to building, electrical, fire codes, and OSHA regulations. Develop and maintain a sustainable Preventative Maintenance Program for theatrical systems, scheduling annual inspections for rigging, forklifts, and motors. Direct equipment maintenance and assist in evaluating production and capital upgrades to support the annual presentation of 10 to 12 weeks of touring Broadway and 60 to 70 single night performances.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in live theater production
- 5 years supervisory experience related to production
- Able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at various levels
- Ability to use a variety of industry standard tools, materials, and equipment to complete assigned projects
Desired Qualifications
- College degree in related field preferred
- Vectorworks experience preferred
- Fluent knowledge of computer drafting programs
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and make adjustments
