Job Summary
Senior Technical Director / Lead Fire Engineer to establish and grow Jensen Hughes’ Belgian presence (Wallonia and national coverage) from Brussels, lead technical excellence on complex fire and life-safety projects, drive business development with architects/design teams/contractors/clients, translate client needs into tailored engineering solutions, and represent the firm in industry forums. The role requires strong leadership, a deep fire safety engineering foundation, ability to lead proposals and client presentations, and fluency in French, English, and Dutch to operate across Belgium.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Significant experience in fire safety engineering or technical consulting
- Experience in leadership roles, business development, or market expansion
- Languages: Fluency in French, English, and Dutch
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to develop and present high-quality technical proposals
- Understanding of Belgian fire safety regulations and regional variations
- Proactive, autonomous, and strategic leadership style
- Mobility to travel across Belgium and occasional travel within Europe
