Job Summary
Technical Director role leading AECOM UK&I’s Hydrogeology Team with responsibility for groundwater resources projects, project delivery and technical excellence. Senior manager focus on water sector, strengthening client relationships, pursuing strategic opportunities, and providing line management to a 30+ hydrogeologists team. Lead technical and project activities for Groundwater and Water Environment projects (lead verifier, project manager and project approver), support growth of the team, client engagement, and major project delivery across water resources planning, infrastructure, renewables, coastal defences and related disciplines. Requires a Degree in Hydrogeology with Chartered Status, broad knowledge of groundwater resources and engineering, experience in work winning, client engagement, project budgeting, bidding/tendering, and ability to develop and approve policies; strong leadership and capability to drive strategic initiatives within a multidisciplinary water environment.
Required Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Hydrogeology
- Chartered Status
- Experience of work winning and client engagement
- Experience of leading and line management of a hydrogeology team
- Experience in managing projects, project budgets and leading stakeholder discussions, and bidding/tendering
- Experience of reviewing/verifying technical work and supporting wider team members
- Demonstrate adaptability in executing business plans and contributing to strategy, including developing and approving policies
