Job Summary
Lead the Environmental Investigation & Remediation practice as Technical Director, delivering complex projects within scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring regulatory compliance. Provide expert guidance on contaminant fate and transport, hydrogeology, geology, and geochemistry; develop conceptual site models, evaluate remedial technologies, and prepare detailed cost estimates. Oversee technical reports (RI/FS, feasibility studies, cleanup action plans) and maintain internal standards for health, safety, quality. Drive seller–doer activities by cultivating client relationships, pursuing new work, and representing the firm at meetings and industry events. Lead and mentor technical staff, collaborate with senior leadership on growth and resourcing, and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel. Expect remote work as needed with on-site Portland activities and travel for client meetings and field oversight.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Significant experience in environmental investigation and remediation
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Professional licensure preferred (PE, PG, or equivalent)
- Travel ability for client meetings and field oversight
