Job Summary
Lead as Technical Director, Engineer, or Geologist for ERM’s Site Investigation and Remediation services in the Southeast. Own technical direction across site investigation, risk assessment, and remediation; mentor junior staff; grow regional capability; build client partnerships and contribute to proposals and revenue through HGHV opportunities. Responsibilities include coordinating complex projects, leading field programs (sampling, drilling, VI assessments, site characterization), reviewing environmental data and QA/QC, developing conceptual site models, evaluating remedial technologies, negotiating outcomes with agencies, and advancing digital/operational efficiency. Requires a Bachelor’s in engineering/geology/environmental science (Master’s preferred), PE/PG, 8+ years’ experience, HAZWOPER, and a valid driver’s license. Strong communication, planning, and leadership skills; willingness to travel across a broad geographic area; experience with CERCLA/RCRA/state programs and North Carolina HSRA/VRP/Brownfield knowledge is preferred; ability to publish and present technical work; and alignment with ERM’s safety and governance standards. This role is based in the Raleigh/Charlotte area with the possibility of hybrid work arrangements (#LI-Hybrid).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science or related field (Master’s or higher preferred)
- PE or PG required for engineers/geologists
- 8+ years of progressive project management and technical experience for moderate to complex CERCLA/RCRA and state program projects
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
- Driver's LicenseRequired
