Job Summary
Senior Technical Director Ecology responsible for leading ecological services, championing Health, Safety and Wellbeing culture, mentoring junior ecologists, driving tender preparation and opportunity generation, overseeing EcIA and regulatory approvals, and delivering projects for UK habitats and nationally significant infrastructure. Required Qualifications
- Senior technical role leading ecological services
- Experience across UK habitats and protected species with survey/licences (current or historic)
- Proven track record designing and delivering ecological survey programmes and mitigation strategies
- Experience in Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) and authoring Environmental Statement chapters
- Experience with Habitat Regulations Assessment
- Evidence of winning work from commercial clients in residential, mixed-use and industrial sectors
- Experience with nationally significant infrastructure projects or development consent order applications
- Leadership, developing and inspiring ecologists at all levels
