Job Summary
Supervise student organization activities and elections for Play 1 at Glenbard East High School. Responsibilities include approving club office candidates, training officers, certifying election results, submitting constitutions/charters, approving announcements and materials, attending meetings and events, inventorying equipment, completing forms/reports per the Student Activities Handbook, coordinating with the APSS/Activity Director for Skyward account access, and representing the club at events. Required skills include reading and interpreting documents, professional written communications, clear verbal and written presentation, relationship management with staff and community, concise communication, basic math, problem solving, and maintaining current job skills, especially in technology-related activities. The role emphasizes adherence to school district requirements and policies, and compliance with ADA and equal opportunity employment policies.
Required Qualifications
- Train officers and members in the handling of their offices
- Approve all candidates for each club office before elections
- Submit the constitution or charter to the APSS when first organized
- Be present at meetings, social events, fund-raising activities
- Coordinate with APSS to access accounts in Skyward
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents
- Ability to write professional communications
- Ability to present information effectively
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships
- Ability to respond to questions
- Ability to perform essential duties with awareness of policies
