Job Summary
Technical Development Rep responsible for precommercial product development for Loveland Products and providing technical services to Nutrien Ag Solutions Retail. Lead protocol development and experimental design, establish an applied field research program, validate and summarize field data with statistical analysis, convert data into marketing content, provide technical leadership for product advancement, and transfer knowledge to sales. Collaborate with sales managers and crop consultants for knowledge transfer and training; monitor third-party technologies to fill portfolio gaps; travel up to 50% with a home office setup; support SH&E standards and Nutrien’s Culture of Care. Requires MS (required) or PhD (preferred) in related agronomy/plant science fields, experience in agricultural field research, strong data management skills, proficiency with JMP/ARM/Excel/PPT, excellent communication, ability to influence, and willingness to work independently. Location is Home Office - Ohio with remote work options; travel logistics and company vehicle provided.
Required Qualifications
- M.S. degree (required) or Ph.D. (preferred) in agronomy, soil science, crop science, horticulture, plant pathology, entomology, weed science or related discipline
- Experience designing, conducting, evaluating and analyzing agricultural field research
- Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) certification is desired, but not required
- Willingness and ability to travel overnight (up to 50%) with company vehicle provided.Expense account will also be provided
