Job Summary
Technical Development Chemist to lead metallization process development for textile-based materials, optimizing silver-plating chemistry, improving uniformity/adhesion/conductivity, and scaling from lab to production. Collaborates with Engineering, Quality, Production, and EHS; documents and presents findings; supports scale-up, production trials, and process qualification; reviews raw materials (SDS/COA) and contributes to new technology development and long-term roadmaps.
Required Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in plating, metallization, surface treatment, or specialty chemicals
- Experience with electroplating or electroless plating (silver, copper, nickel, etc.)
- Understanding of surface preparation and activation on non-conductive materials
- Strong analytical skills (e.g., SEM, XRF, ICP, titration)
- Ability to design and interpret experiments independently
