Job Summary
Technical Design Interiors - Career or Senior role at The Boeing Company in North Charleston, SC. The Payloads organization seeks experienced Technical Designers to support interior payload system design and integration across the product lifecycle, including customer configuration development, supplier engagement, requirement validation, and production/certification support. Responsibilities include developing, integrating and documenting interior payload system requirements, using 3-D CAD tools to provide product definition, and collaborating with project engineering, production engineering, program teams, management, and suppliers. Candidates should have 3+ years in technical design (modeling and technical integration) with aerospace interiors experience, proficiency in CAD/CAM tools (CATIA V5, Enovia), knowledge of Model Based Design, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. The role is onsite in North Charleston, SC, with relocation consideration based on eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree + 3yrs; Bachelor’s degree + 1yr; or 5yrs related work experience
- 3+ years of experience in technical design, including modeling, and technical integration or equivalent combination of additional education and relevant experience
- Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release
- Knowledge of computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., CAD/CAM, CATIA, Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics).
- Model based design (Catia V5) and systems engineering (Enovia)
- Ability to manipulate data sets and communicate clearly
- Demonstrated interest in continuous personal learning and development
