Technical Delivery Manager (Top Secret Clearance)

Job Summary
Manage and deliver innovative Appian platform solutions for customers, overseeing all aspects of agile delivery, risk management, and impediment removal. Drive customer growth through trusted advice and strategic account management, including project management, relationship building with partners and customers, financial management, and opportunity qualification. Collaborate closely with sales, partners, and Customer Success teams to define use cases, develop application roadmaps, and position technology to meet strategic goals. This role is based at Appian HQ in McLean, VA, requiring in-person attendance 4-5 days per week to foster collaboration. Candidates must hold an Active Government Top Secret Clearance with experience supporting Intel and/or 4th Estate. The position supports Appian's mission to automate mission-critical work for large enterprises and governments.
Required Qualifications
- Proven background in support of Intel and/or 4th Estate, with an Active Government Top Secret Clearance
- 5+ years of experience in an agile delivery environment
- at least 1 year of experience leading a team
- B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field/degree
- Willingness to travel; 20% or less annually to support customer engagement
- Experience managing a book of business using financial management tools and metrics
- Experiencing leading agile delivery teams and managing enterprise scale technology programs
- Experience understanding customer's strategic goals, positioning technology to meet their goals, developing application roadmaps with customers, and building compelling business cases to understand investments
- Experience with one or more value selling methods
- Ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships (stakeholder, buyer, influencer)

Desired Qualifications
- Industry-experience in one or more of the following industries: Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, Insurance, Manufacturing
- Experience with software consulting (ideally in a ERP, CRM, BPM/Workflow, Data Integration Architecture or EAI)
- applied knowledge of enterprise architecture, including data management
