Technical Delivery Manager

Job Summary
Establish and run the Delivery Playbook governance structure and cadence covering kickoff, planning, execution, and closure. Facilitate communication between client and ClearRoute while capturing delivery data, RAG status, risks, and insights for bi-weekly and monthly governance reviews. Manage engagement risk to protect interests by identifying and decoupling dependencies, then coordinate workstreams, coach the team, and ensure adherence to Agile practices. Run the Delivery Health Check Toolkit regularly to gauge team health and performance. Own engagement closure by securing sign-off on deliverables, conducting engagement reviews, and capturing case studies and IP.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record managing software delivery engagements end-to-end (on time, on scope, on budget)
- Strong working knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and modern engineering practices (CI/CD, DORA metrics, quality engineering)
- Enough technical literacy to challenge and guide engineering teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to build trust with senior client stakeholders and economic buyers
- Demonstrable risk and dependency management capability
- Sound commercial judgement to protect delivery and margin
- Experience running delivery governance and reporting — status, RAG, risk logs
- Ability to present to client and internal leadership
- Ability to coach and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to operate pragmatically by adapting process to context rather than applying it rigidly
Desired Qualifications
- Background as a hands-on software engineer or technical lead before moving into delivery management
- Experience across multiple engagement models (Time & Materials, Capability/squad-based, and Outcome/OKR-based)
- Familiarity with cloud, DevOps, and test-automation domains
- Experience setting up engagements from scratch — onboarding teams onto client systems, co-creating backlogs, and establishing delivery cadence
