Job Summary

Technical Contracts Officer responsible for end-to-end sourcing and contract management for aviation technical services, including aircraft base maintenance, component maintenance and repair, and engineering service contracts. Collaborates with Engineering and Maintenance to define technical requirements, coordinates tendering activities (RFP/RFQ) with Procurement, and supports post-award contract administration to ensure supplier performance and compliance. Activities include preparing sourcing requests with detailed technical specifications and scope of work, aligning technical requirements with commercial evaluation, participating in supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract award, drafting/reviewing contractual documentation, contract administration post-award (amendments, variations, claims), ensuring adherence to terms and SLAs, and supporting cost-control reporting and dispute resolution. Education & Experience: minimum Diploma (2+ years) and at least 3 years in aviation technical environments; familiarity with aviation services; experience in airlines/MROs/aviation service providers preferred. Skills: negotiation, analytical abilities, understanding of contract terms, ability to manage multiple tenders, excellent communication and stakeholder management, procurement systems proficiency, MS Office, high attention to detail and commercial awareness. Works with Etihad Airways as part of a broader aviation-ecosystem and participates in the Journey 2030 vision; recruitment fraud alert noted.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma (2 years or more)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in aviation technical department
  • Familiarity with aviation technical services (Aircraft Base Maintenance, Component Maintenance and Repair / Pooling, Engineering and Technical Service Contracts)
  • Experience in airlines, MROs, or aviation service providers preferred
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of contract terms and legal frameworks
  • Proficiency in procurement systems and MS Office tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • High attention to detail and commercial awareness
