Job Summary
Conduct enterprise migrations, architecture modernization, and system recovery exercises for ArcGIS Enterprise deployments. Perform advanced troubleshooting, proofs of concept, and upgrades across Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes-based environments. Apply system engineering methods to resolve complex technical challenges involving database, storage, and authentication protocols while collaborating with Professional Services staff. Lead customers through system evolution efforts, utilizing best practices to ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience implementing and supporting enterprise GIS systems
- Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise
- Familiarity with troubleshooting technical issues in server-based systems
- Demonstrated ability to consistently apply a systematic, best practice driven approach to system engineering
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to customers, executives, and technical and non technical audiences
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- US citizenship with Active or Current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM related field
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in geography, computer science, mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM related field
- Knowledge of or interest in additional ArcGIS technologies
- Practical experience with one or more major cloud providers
- Experience with scripting and/or programming languages such as shell scripting, Python, PowerShell, or similar
- System administration experience with Windows, Linux, and/or Kubernetes platforms
- Knowledge of or interest in networking concepts including HTTP, TCP, TLS, DNS, firewalls, and proxy technologies
