Technical Business Systems Analyst

Job Summary
Elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements across multiple initiatives while developing and maintaining Requirements Traceability Matrices. Translate needs into functional and technical specifications, map processes to system capabilities, and support validation activities through test scenarios and scripts. Contribute to large-scale IT projects, system implementations, and integrations using Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies, managing backlogs and dependencies in Azure DevOps. Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and regulatory requirements. Work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight, managing multiple priorities to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least three to five years of experience as a Technical Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role within a large enterprise IT environment
- Hands-on SAP experience
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing Requirements Traceability Matrices
- Experience writing test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts
- Strong technical mapping, business process mapping, and process-modeling skills
- Proven ability to gather requirements independently and efficiently from multiple stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or a comparable backlog and application lifecycle management platform
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
- Must be able to work independently, move quickly, and gather and refine requirements across multiple stakeholders and initiatives
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- High attention to detail and strong documentation discipline
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Must be available for weekend shifts

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the utility or energy industry
- Familiarity with Smartsheet, GIS platforms, or energy management systems
- Experience supporting large-scale system implementations or digital transformation initiatives
- Experience with enterprise ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle
- Professional certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or ITIL
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
