Technical Business Development Manager (Asia Trading Infrastructure)

Job Summary
Lead the end-to-end buildout of Rock Bund Capital’s Asia trading infrastructure, focusing on China first and expanding to Korea, Taiwan, and India. Own sourcing, onboarding, and management of external counterparties (brokers, exchanges, prime brokers, market-data vendors, infrastructure providers); drive market-access discussions (Stock Connect, QFII/RQFII), connectivity, and data/operational workflows; translate trader requirements into technical and operational specifications for engineering and operations teams; ensure go-live readiness with robust controls, testing plans (UAT), and production runbooks; collaborate with traders, strategists, and engineering on FIX/API connectivity, OMS/EMS integration, market-data feeds, and governance; manage pre-trade, at-trade, and post-trade controls, licensing, provisioning, and escalation paths; maintain strong external relationships and deliver a production-ready trading flow in a high-stakes environment, with Mandarin and English communication across locations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience from a top-tier brokerage firm, prime broker, exchange, market-data / trading-infrastructure provider, or buy-side execution / trading operations team
- Hands-on experience building or operating China / Asia market-access infrastructure for institutional trading
- Strong understanding of Stock Connect and/or QFII / RQFII
- Proven ability to source, evaluate, onboard, and manage external trading counterparties
- Strong understanding of how brokers, exchanges, market-data vendors, clearing partners, traders, and engineering teams interact in a live trading environment
- Familiarity with China or broader Asia market structure
- Ability to translate trader and strategist requirements into concrete technical, operational, and control requirements for engineering and operations teams
- Familiarity with securities borrowing and lending workflows
- Strong project and program-management discipline
- Strong commercial and relationship-management capability
- Self-driven with strong ownership
- Fluency in English & Mandarin Chinese
- Strong academic background
