Job Summary
The Technical Business Analyst for Custodial Projects will be embedded in a multi-year initiative to evolve clearing and custody infrastructure, translating regulatory and operational requirements into actionable specifications for engineering and product teams. Responsibilities include analyzing regulatory, compliance, and operational requirements from legal counsel, NFA filings, and clearing agreements; developing and maintaining process flows, data flow diagrams, and system interaction maps; investigating gaps between current infrastructure and target Non-Clearing FCM model; partnering with engineering, product, compliance, and legal to validate requirements; and maintaining documentation of decisions, open questions, and lessons learned throughout the initiative.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in a business analyst, product analyst, or similar role within financial services, fintech, or a broker-dealer / FCM environment
- NFA/CFTC experience is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory or operational requirements into clear written specifications, process documentation, and system design inputs
- Experience working across legal, compliance, and technology teams in a cross-functional environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication - you write clearly, ask sharp questions, and surface ambiguity before it becomes a problem
- Proficiency with documentation tools (Confluence, Jira, or equivalent)
