Job Summary
Embedded in a multi-year initiative to evolve tastytrade's clearing and custody infrastructure, focusing on regulatory licensing, back-office technology, and operational transformation. Analyzes regulatory, compliance, and operational requirements from legal counsel, NFA filings, and clearing agreements, and translates them into clear, actionable specifications for engineering and product teams. Develops and maintains process flows, data flow diagrams, and system interaction maps reflecting current and future-state architecture; investigates gaps between current infrastructure and the target Non-Clearing FCM model and surfaces risks and dependencies early. Partners with engineering, product, compliance, and legal to define and validate requirements across each phase; maintains thorough documentation of decisions, open questions, and lessons learned to support the initiative.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience as a business analyst, product analyst, or similar in financial services, fintech, or broker-dealer/FCM environment
- Experience translating regulatory or operational requirements into clear written specifications, process documentation, and system design inputs
- Demonstrated ability to work across legal, compliance, and technology teams in a cross-functional environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with documentation tools (Confluence, Jira, or equivalent)
