Technical Business Analyst

Job Summary
Conduct business analysis and requirements gathering by eliciting use cases, researching feasibility, and translating conceptual needs into detailed functional requirements for IT solutions. Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, HR, Marketing, and Sales to define processes, manage scoping, and prioritize opportunities that streamline operations and enhance customer outcomes. Create artifacts such as process flows, mockups, and vendor evaluations while interpreting data to drive actionable decisions and support rapid adaptation to retail market changes. Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors to ensure software alignment with organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- two years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to gather, document, validate, and prioritize business and technical requirements from stakeholders
- Strong understanding of software development, databases, APIs, system integrations, and technical architectures
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Ability to use data, process analysis, and critical thinking to identify root causes, assess impacts, and recommend solutions
- Maps current and future-state processes, identifies inefficiencies, and drives operational improvements through technology and process changes
- Proficiency with data visualization, and storytelling
- Apply understanding of cost-benefit analysis and business case development
- Demonstrate proficiency in software development lifecycle, agile, and waterfall project methodologies
- Develop and utilize deep domain knowledge and understanding of business processes for both guest facing and backend supporting processes
- Demonstrate deep understanding of business stakeholder needs and the ability to prioritize work that delivers incremental customer and operational value
- Possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills
