Job Summary
Technical Assistant in Louis Trichardt, joining the Networks team to support fibre optic and wireless installations and repairs. Assist with site surveys, mounting brackets, running cables under supervision, CPE recovery, and maintenance tasks. Maintain clean, organized work sites, stock vehicles, follow safety procedures, and work effectively both independently and with a team in various environments, including heights and confined spaces. Requires Matric (Grade 12) and basic computer literacy; hand and power tools experience; driving license is advantageous. Emphasis on precision, safety, organisation, and proactive attitude with potential overtime. Preference given to candidates from designated groups in line with Employment Equity Plan; POPIA consent for recruitment purposes.
Required Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Basic computer literacy
- Good working knowledge of hand and power tools used in installations
- A valid driver’s license is advantageous
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team
- Physically fit and able to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces
- Strong organisational skills and time management
- Presentable, reliable, and punctual with a positive, proactive attitude
- Previous experience in a similar technical or installation environment is advantageous
- Willingness to work overtime as required
