Job Summary
Technical Assistant to support our Networks team in fibre optic and wireless installations, site surveys (signal scans, throughput tests), equipment mounting and cable runs under supervision of Senior Technicians, CPE recovery, callout repairs, and site tidying. Requires tidy work habits, strong organisational skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and adherence to health and safety protocols. Roles involves working in varied environments, including heights and confined spaces, with overtime as needed. Preference given to candidates from designated groups as per Employment Equity Plan. Required Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Basic computer literacy
- Good working knowledge of hand and power tools used in installations
- A valid driver’s license is advantageous
- Willingness to work overtime as required
- Previous experience in a similar technical or installation environment is advantageous
