Job Summary
Technical Assistant/Transport Aide in a hospital nursing team provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Professional Nurse. Responsibilities include transporting patients between departments, assisting with patient transfers to and from wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds, providing sitter coverage, responding to patient calls and emergency situations (Code Blue, STEMI, Stoke Alert, Rapid Response), transporting to morgue with body release to funeral home, monitoring wheelchair placement, assisting with oxygen storage, following universal precautions and hospital policies, and providing coverage to nursing departments as requested. The role supports performance improvement activities and may include other duties as assigned. Education required: High School Graduate. Experience: No experience needed. Pay rate: $17.47-$24.26 per hour (annualized to $36,338-$50,461). Location: Corning, NY, United States.
