Job Summary
Design and build the technical architecture of the Salesforce platform, translating structured analysis into development specifications for custom code, vendor integrations, and data flows. Lead technical design sessions, write design documents, and conduct code reviews to ensure coding practices are applied across all projects. Work directly with business stakeholders to define requirements and present solutions, while providing expert-level assistance to developers on Apex, Lightning, and integration issues. Oversee assigned programs, manage technical scope, and guide software development teams through the full Agile lifecycle. Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware, suggest integration methods, and support data migrations from third-party systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- 6+ years of experience administering or consulting with Salesforce
- 3-5 years of experience with Salesforce implementation in the Financial Service vertical and Investment Banking
- Certified Platform Developer I (PDI) or equivalent experience
- Certified Platform Developer II (PDII) or equivalent experience
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce platform out-of-the-box functionality along with Apex, Lightning Components, Salesforce APIs, and SOQL
- Ability to acquire new technical expertise quickly within the SFDC platform and related technologies, such as client-side scripting libraries and ETL/ESB integration tools
- Solid understanding of developing mobile, hybrid, and/or native iOS/Android applications
- Ability to follow Agile development methodology and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle: analysis, design, development, testing, and production support
- Experience with data migrations from third-party systems to Salesforce
- Experience designing or building Salesforce integrations with third-party applications
- Solid knowledge of key B2B, B2C, and hybrid business model levers
- Solid understanding of Agile development methodologies
- Solid understanding of writing and consuming web services
- Experience with the following languages and programs: JavaScript Libraries/Frameworks (Angular, jQuery)
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud
- Experience with Lightning
- Experience with SOQL
- Experience with SQL
