Job Summary
Technical Architect - IT in Chennai responsible for designing, developing, and supporting modern API-led and event-driven integration solutions that enable business and technology outcomes. A key focus is establishing and demonstrating the value of our Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) to the business, ensuring adoption as the foundation for integration delivery. Responsibilities include evolving API Gateways, onboarding teams to the integration platform, supporting architecture for integrations, building and maintaining APIs and tooling (including MongoDB and Redis), and applying DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift) to enable scalable deployments. The role requires knowledge of OAuth2/OpenID Connect with Okta, messaging technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ), observability (ElasticSearch/Kibana), and collaboration across cross-functional teams to improve platform capabilities and developer experience. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), 12-15 years of IT experience, and practical expertise in enterprise API/integration projects, with familiarity in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or similar, API security and governance, event-driven architectures, and modern development practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 12 - 15 years of IT experience
- Experience or understanding of API development and integration concepts in an enterprise environment
- Familiarity with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or similar integration platforms is highly desirable
- Knowledge of API Gateway concepts, security, and traffic management
- Understanding of OAuth2 and OIDC authentication flows, ideally with exposure to Okta
- Experience or exposure to event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD tooling
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Understanding of TypeScript and modern UI development practices, including Web Components and Lit (LitElement)
- Exposure to ELK stack or similar logging/monitoring platforms
- Experience building APIs or services using modern programming languages (GoLang a plus)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn, innovate, and adapt to new technologies
