Job Summary
Technical Application Engineer to support Sales Engineers and Account Managers by providing technical product support, field troubleshooting, training, and product applications assessments. Responsibilities include facilitating technical conversations with customers and consultants, coordinating quotations and inquiries, training Border States personnel and customers on product lines, conducting product updates and launches, and contributing to planning and promotion of products and services. Proficient collaboration with customers’ engineering staff, knowledge of diverse products and standards, SAP processes familiarity, and the ability to handle field programming and cost-savings assessments (e.g., TCCM) are key. The role requires a 4-year technical/engineering degree or equivalent experience, strong customer service and communication skills, and comfort with software tools and field technical activities.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year technical or engineering degree or equivalent experience required
- Knowledge and technical competence in understanding of utility distribution and transmission systems preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint), Internet, Email and SAP software preferred
