Job Summary
Develop and refine technical specifications for Navy software maintenance and modernization efforts. Perform process analysis and design to optimize system workflows, while leading technical problem-solving activities and providing analytical recommendations to Navy stakeholders. Support system evaluation, interface requirements, and human-system interactions across complex Navy environments by collaborating with program managers, engineers, and logistics personnel to ensure accurate requirements translation. Conduct research, assessments, and documentation supporting system sustainment and modernization. This role requires a DoW SECRET security clearance and six years of professional experience in technical specifications development and process analysis. The position is based in the Norfolk, VA region with a salary of $80k+, offering competitive benefits including education stipends and referral bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology with coursework including Human Systems Interface (HSI) and Human Factors Engineering (HFE)
- DoW SECRET security clearance
- Minimum of six (6) years of professional experience involving technical specifications development
- Minimum of six (6) years of professional experience involving process analysis and design
- Minimum of six (6) years of professional experience involving technical problem solving
- Minimum of six (6) years of professional experience involving analytical/logical thinking
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non‐technical audiences
- Experience supporting Navy or other DoW programs
- Familiarity with disciplined engineering or logistics environments
- Ability to operate independently and collaborate in dynamic, multi‐stakeholder settings
