Job Summary
Shadow Senior Technical Experts on active cases spanning commercial, industrial, and residential construction disputes to assist in forensic analysis for contract disputes, personal injury claims, and fire investigations. Conduct site inspections to document structures, electrical distributions, and mechanical systems using photographs, diagrams, and checklists, then prepare detailed inspection narratives. Review construction documents, legal filings, and industry standards to extract technical data, analyze cost estimates and loss valuations, and draft forensic reports adhering to PFCS standards. Present findings to the internal team and collaborate on presentation materials for construction defect and accident claims. Track billable hours meticulously and set quarterly professional development goals aligned with licensing objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems, general contracting, or construction engineering
- Bachelor of Science degree
- Strong foundational proficiency in reading blueprints, architectural drawings, and electrical single-line designs
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex technical field data into actionable information
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and online research utilities
- Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to conduct onsite inspections (climbing ladders, walking active jobsites, carrying equipment)
Desired Qualifications

- An MBA or business-minded focus
- Possession of (or distinct willingness to obtain) a Journeyman or Master Electrician license, or a General Engineering/Contracting license C10, C-2, or B status
- Active certifications or outreach training completion (e.g., 30-Hour OSHA Outreach)
- Familiarity with or interest in joining professional associations such as the International Code Council (ICC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), or Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
