Job Summary
Provide technical evaluation, analysis, and guidance to the management team on safety, feasibility, effectiveness, risk, and compliance. Consult with personnel to define operational issues, perform research or experiments to obtain meaningful data, and analyze findings to formulate solutions and recommendations. Document applicable data and present recommended solutions to management, then evaluate outcomes to provide follow-up guidance. Maintain knowledge of safety policies, participate in Safety Work Groups, and perform duties in an environmental restoration atmosphere involving outdated or abandoned facilities. Wear respirators and protective equipment to enter hazardous areas with potential exposure to chemicals, dust, heat, or radiation, while adhering to all DOT regulations and buddy system requirements for lifting.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in a related field
- 5 years of related experience
- 7 years of related experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Pre-Employment Physical
- Drug Screen
- The ability to obtain/maintain 'L' or 'Q' Clearance one year from hire date
- Background Check
- Any site required training
- Ability to wear respirator and other protective equipment to enter various types of potentially hazardous areas
- Ability to carry several instruments/equipment or tools while walking extensively
- Ability to perform medium to very heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, non-repetitive, up to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to work in confined areas, tanks, heat stress conditions, high noise and areas with radiation and chemical hazards
- Ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations
- Actively participates in Safety Work Groups
- May be required to operate company vehicle during the course of work
