Job Summary
Technical Administrator provides interface between the office and the managed fleet on technical matters, supporting technical operations, maintenance status evaluation, and long-term projects such as major repairs and dry docks. The role involves traveling abroad for training, survey attendance, repairs and dry-docks, and new building sites. Core duties include maintaining knowledge of fleet vessel characteristics, supporting fleet superintendents, reviewing and addressing defect reports and maintenance tasks, validating completed maintenance in PMS, ensuring compliance with class/statutory requirements, maintaining vessel records, and coordinating with crew and external parties. Required competencies include a Master’s degree in relevant engineering, IT proficiency, strong English communication, and the ability to work under pressure, with flexible travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
- Good command of English (oral and written)
- Literate in computers use, IT experience (spreadsheets, MS Project, Internet)
- Ability to travel for training, surveys, repairs, and site work
