Job Summary
Respond to and manage Technical Force Response (TFR) and Technical Data Evaluation and Notification (TDENT) responses while developing matrix tracking data for the Technical Branch Head. Conduct data and risk analysis on matrix tracking tools to predict engineering problem statements for lifecycle maintenance and sustainability of In-Service US/UK SSBNs. Coordinate with ISEAs regarding alterations, fleet training improvements, and feedback trends. Work with NAVSEA technical codes, SSP, and U.S. Fleet personnel to resolve in-service problems and recommend potential U.S./UK common design changes. Serve as Technical Navigational SME on TRID-588/601 and coordinate daily with Electric Boat at Bangor to determine material needs and develop alternate development paths. Support SWS Weeks in Bangor, WA, or Kings Bay, GA as needed. Daily coordination with EB at Bangor to determine material needs of fleet, trending failures and stock postures to develop alternate development paths and/or possible modernizations.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in a business or technical field
- 6 years of experience in project management
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Required access to all worksite locations
- Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens
- Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
- Ability to travel CONUS
- Potential to travel OCONUS
- Travel up to 20% may be required
- Must be available during the core work hours as determined by the contract/location
- Must account for the required number of hours in a pay period to maintain Full-time status
- Attendance at mandatory meetings is required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in engineering or program management with Navy/NAVSEA/Shipyard
- Experience working with modernization of U.S. Navy ships and equipment
- Experience with submarine systems, equipment, operations, maintenance, or other submarine activities
- Familiarity with key stakeholders including Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Planning Yards (PYs), Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP), Submarine Type Commanders (TYCOMs)
