Job Summary
Research and analyze complex accounting matters including revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations, and financial instruments. Prepare technical accounting memoranda, position papers, and external reporting disclosures to support quarterly and annual financial statements and SEC filings. Evaluate new accounting standards, assist with earnings release materials, and help develop internal controls related to technical accounting. Partner with finance, legal, tax, treasury, and business leaders on strategic transactions and special projects while identifying opportunities to automate reporting processes. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation
- 5–8+ years of experience in accounting and/or external reporting, preferably with a publicly traded company or public accounting firm
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and accounting research methodologies
- Experience preparing technical accounting analyses, accounting memoranda, and position papers
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems
