Job Summary
Lead the company's external reporting process by preparing financial statements and disclosures that are clean, accurate, and audit-ready. Act as the internal resource on technical accounting matters, interpreting new guidance and applying relevant standards to U.S. GAAP requirements. Work directly with external auditors to drive timelines and manage deliverables for quarterly and annual filings, while supporting key business activities such as equity and transactions. Improve reporting processes to tighten overall structure and take ownership of the end-to-end SEC reporting cycle. This visible role involves high-level communication with leadership and auditors in a fast-moving environment, offering true ownership of complex accounting areas within a growing finance function.
Required Qualifications
- CPA
- Background in public accounting (Big 4 or similar)
- Direct SEC reporting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP in a public company environment
- Experience working through technical accounting issues
- Ability to communicate clearly with leadership and auditors
- Someone who can operate independently and take ownership
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Denver-based
- 3 days per week in-office/2 days working remotely
