Technical Accounting Director

Own technical accounting within Sage Intacct on complex transactions, including VIE consolidation analysis, accounting for tax equity structures, revenue recognition, leases, asset impairment, income and property taxes, and business combinations. Evaluate the accounting implications of new project acquisitions, financings, capitalization of costs, and partnership flip structures, and advise on GAAP treatment. Manage the consolidation of the entity structure, ensuring accurate elimination entries and non-controlling/tax equity interest allocations across 100+ entities. Partner with the Controller and accounting operations team to ensure technical positions are properly reflected in the close process and financial statements. Develop and maintain accounting policies, technical memos, and internal controls documentation to support a scalable, audit-ready control environment. Monitor and assess the impact of new and proposed accounting standards (FASB/GAAP updates) on the company and lead implementation efforts. Mentor and provide technical guidance to accounting staff on complex accounting matters as the entity structure and portfolio grow.
