Job Summary
Lead technical accounting across VAT, Fixed Assets, IFRS16, and Treasury as the Finance Centre of Excellence subject matter expert. Assess and implement accounting standard changes, review complex transactions for balance sheet integrity, and ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT legislation, and company policies. Support statutory reporting, audits, and finance transformation projects while driving continuous improvement in controls and financial reporting quality. Increase technical capability within R2R CBS and Fixed Asset teams through coaching and knowledge sharing. Deliver robust guidance for complex transactions and maintain high stakeholder satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified ACA preferred; ACCA considered
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS and UK GAAP)
- Significant VAT experience, including VAT return preparation
- IFRS16 accounting knowledge
- Treasury accounting experience desirable
- Experience preparing technical accounting papers
- Advanced Excel and ERP systems knowledge
- Experience working across multiple legal entities
- Large company experience essential
- High attention to detail
