Technical Account Manager (Romania)

Job Summary
Technical Account Manager to own the technical relationship with a portfolio of enterprise customers, coordinating escalations and cross-functional activities to ensure reliability, performance, and adoption of Platform9 products (Private Cloud Director, Kubernetes platforms, and related integrations). You will collaborate with Support, Engineering, Product, Sales, and Services to guide upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and release readiness, provide risk assessments and actionable guidance, deliver customer-focused reports, educate customers on Platform9 tools and workflows, and represent Platform9 in customer reviews and ongoing success initiatives. You will need deep technical knowledge in Linux, Kubernetes, OpenStack/private cloud, virtualization, networking, storage, observability, and automation, and you will travel to customer sites as needed and provide after-hours on-call assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences
- Account management and project/program management experience
- Technical knowledge across Linux systems administration (Ubuntu/RHEL), Kubernetes and cloud-native operations, OpenStack/private cloud infrastructure, virtualization (KVM/QEMU), networking, storage integrations, and automation/infrastructure as code (Terraform/Ansible)
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and participate in after-hours on-call support
