Job Summary
Technical Account Manager - Photonics drives growth in laser micromachining services across target markets in the US. Serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal engineering/production teams, analyze customer drawings, materials, and tolerances, and propose laser processing solutions. Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations; collaborate with engineers on feasibility and manufacturability; support project delivery with the project management team; maintain forecasts and Salesforce records; stay current on industry trends. Requires consultative selling and problem-solving, strong technical credibility with engineers and manufacturing teams, excellent organizational and communication skills, and willingness to travel up to 50% for tradeshows, conferences, customer visits, and events. Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering; 5+ years in technical sales or applications engineering; preferred experience with laser micromachining and related industries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Physics, or related field)
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales or applications engineering.
- Strong understanding of precision manufacturing processes (laser processing, micro-machining, or similar preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
