Job Summary
Senior Technical Advisor, Newborn and Child Health (NCH) based in Maputo with up to 40% travel to Nampula and other provinces. Provide technical assistance to Alcancar’s child health team in implementation of robust child health activities, develop technical guidelines and reports to improve access, quality, and use of newborn and child health, immunization and nutrition services; represent Alcancar at MISAU technical working group meetings; collaborate with partners to ensure integrated activities; contribute to the project’s learning agenda and evidence generation; coordinate with government counterparts and NGOs; support capacity building and sustainability of activities.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in public health or health management
- Clinical background as a medical doctor, preferably a pediatrician, or a newborn and child health nurse
- At least twelve (12) years of work experience in Mozambique’s health system and NGO setting
- Mozambican with fluency in Portuguese and English languages
