Tech Writer (R&D)

Job Summary
Develop operational documentation including user manuals, operation guides, and technical specifications for military and defense technology products. Prepare documentation packages for official testing, codification, and client delivery in accordance with military and industry standards (DSTU, STANAG). Initiate and develop technical documentation for new R&D projects from scratch in close collaboration with engineers and developers. Maintain, update, and manage version control for all existing technical and support documentation. Collaborate with engineering teams, testers, and military experts to verify the accuracy of technical information and gather data for systematization. Requires 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer or Documentation Engineer; proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Git/Markdown; located in Kyiv with flexible hours and remote work options.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, Documentation Engineer, or Technical Author
- Understanding of architecture of technically complex systems (Software, Hardware, Firmware) and development and testing processes (R&D, SDLC)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in MilTech, Hardware, Embedded, Robotics, or Telecom
- Knowledge of Docs-as-Code approach and experience with Git/Markdown
