Job Summary
Tech Trainee in the HPC Rentals division works under the Rental Service Manager to perform helper duties in the Service Department. The Trainee disassembles, cleans, and reassembles Caterpillar, allied product machines, and Ag & Turf and industrial products; measures and identifies parts for reuse or replacement and orders parts as required; follows Caterpillar and allied lubrication, maintenance, and warranty guidelines; attends training classes and earns passing grades; completes Service Reports; travels within HPC-established territory; operates HPC service vehicles; adheres to safety and company policies; maintains relationships with customers and internal teams. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license with a clean record, PC skills, forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days), ownership of suitable hand tools, and ideally 1 year of experience. Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Must have PC skills.
- Must be forklift certified or able to be certified within 60 days.
- Must own hand tools that are suitable to perform the work noted above.
- At least 1 year of experience is preferred.
