Tech Support Engineer

Job Summary
Provide technical support to customers and colleagues via phone, email, remote sessions, or on-site visits across the North American region. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, manage tickets in OmniTracker, and participate in escalations and support logistics meetings. Initiate upgrade requests, conduct health checks on test equipment, and deliver on-the-job training. Visit affiliates to review issues and assist with spare part inquiries. Maintain equipment logs, submit required paperwork, and wear cleanroom attire up to 75% of the time. This role requires being on call, working overtime, and traveling up to 50% of the time. Temporary shift assignments may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in a technical discipline
- At least two (2) years of experience with an EVG tool platform
- Background in engineering or manufacturing
- Excellent customer skillset which includes communication, priority setting, influencing and conflict resolution
- Self-driven with ability to prioritize work and accomplish tasks quickly with good problem solving skills
- Detail oriented
- Solid written and verbal communication for expressing technical ideas and initiatives
- Comfortable task switching and managing multiple tasks at the same time
- Ability to wear proper cleanroom attire and work inside the fab/cleanroom up to 75% of the time, depending on urgency
- Must be able to stand, sit, reach with hand and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Visual acuity required
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls frequently
- Ability to reach with hand and arms above shoulder level occasionally
- Must be available for temporary shift assignment
- Must be required to be on call, work overtime and/or travel, as required, up to 50% of the time
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- An equal amount of successful field service experience in capital equipment and/or facilities experience may be considered in lieu of the formal education requirement
- At least two (2) years of experience with an EVG tool platform, preferred
- A background in engineering or manufacturing preferred
