Job Summary
The Technology Support Field Representative provides field-level technical assistance for installation of software, networks, and computer equipment for district staff. Responsibilities include setting up and installing workstations and peripherals, scheduling site visits for maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software problems, developing needs analyses for hardware/software purchases, implementing technology projects, configuring software and drivers, maintaining district standards, supporting lab networks, and communicating issues to stakeholders. The role requires customer service, teamwork, willingness to train, and travel to various school sites. Requires an associate’s degree (or approved substitutions) and a valid Florida driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of increasingly responsible experience in computer operations or troubleshooting
- An associate’s degree supplemented by four years of computer operations or troubleshooting work experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree and work experience requirement
- Six (6) years of computer operations or troubleshooting work experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree and work experience requirement
- Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license is required
- Ability to travel to various school sites and work locations throughout the district
