Job Summary
Senior Tech Risk and Controls Associate in Berlin responsible for guiding cybersecurity and technology risk management, designing and implementing governance controls and tools, engaging with engineering and business teams to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation, and contributing to audits and KPI/KRI programs to strengthen the firm’s risk posture in a leading European banking environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of total relevant work experience
- Proficient knowledge in regulations related to Retail Banking in Germany and EBA Guidelines on ICT and Security Risk Management or EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing Arrangements, and/or ISO27001, DORA, GDPR and NIST frameworks
- Strong communication skills in German and English
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Experience with cloud and modern engineering practices (containerization, access management, monitoring, CI/CD security)
- Experience conducting technology and security audits
- Ability to analyse complex issues and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Experience operating within a regulated industry
- Certified in CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, CCSP, or other recognized risk certifications (preferred)
