Job Summary
Director-level role in Global Technology Data Strategy Risk & Controls to shape and implement the firm’s data governance risk management strategy. You will identify, assess, and mitigate data and technology risks, escalate emerging risks, and provide expert counsel to stakeholders on data governance, data handling, and security obligations. You will establish relationships with cross-functional leads to drive data governance outcomes across Data Owners, oversee governance controls and metrics, and communicate findings to senior leaders. The role requires experience in risk management frameworks, data governance, information security, and the ability to lead teams and drive strategic initiatives in a regulated financial-industry context.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in data governance, technology risk management, information security, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management frameworks, industry standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to the financial industry
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage cross-functional projects, influence executive-level strategic decision-making, and effectively translate data governance, technology, and control insights to business strategy
- Advanced knowledge and experience leading data governance and data security, risk assessment & reporting, and control evaluation, design, and governance with a track record of implementing effective risk mitigation strategies
