Tech Pack Designer

Job Summary
Create detailed production-ready tech packs for all assigned styles, including accurate garment flats, construction details, and sizing graphics using Adobe Illustrator. Prepare sewing instructions, trim placements, and packaging requirements to ensure packages are complete for overseas factory development. Collaborate with Design, Production, and Licensing teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and incorporate licensor revisions into final packages. Communicate daily with overseas factories regarding sample development and provide technical corrections to maintain quality standards and schedule adherence. Review prototypes and fit samples while maintaining organized style files. Support customer meetings with product presentations and development updates to meet critical delivery deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field preferred
- 3–7 years of apparel design and technical design experience
- Experience within the wholesale apparel industry required
- Knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing
- Experience working with overseas factories
- Ability to manage multiple brands, retailers, and seasonal calendars simultaneously
- Adobe Illustrator (Advanced)
- Adobe Photoshop
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Tech Pack Construction
- Visual expertise for sizing and placing artwork
- Flat Sketch development (if needed)
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed apparel experience strongly preferred
- Licensed sports apparel (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, NCAA)
- Men's, women's, and children's apparel
- Knits, fleece, activewear, and sportswear
- Screen print, embroidery, appliqué, heat transfer, and specialty decoration techniques
- Experience working with major retailers including Walmart, Target, Kohl's, Macy;s, Costco, Sam's Club, and specialty retailers
- Knowledge of overseas manufacturing and production timelines
