Job Summary
Conduct multi-channel technical support for Whirlpool appliance installation, diagnosis, and repair via voice, chat, email, and video. Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate emerging issues to Quality and Engineering teams while identifying business gaps for continuous improvement. Enable Consumer Service Analytics strategy deployment with direction from leadership. Maintain a non-traditional schedule within 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST hours, working remotely from a dedicated US home office with wired ethernet connectivity. Requires 3+ years of appliance repair experience and 2+ years in electrical/mechanical diagnostics.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of appliance repair experience
- 2+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical operation to major appliance diagnostics and repairs
- Trade School or Associate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills
- A basic understanding of how to leverage numerous and different technologies
- Customer Service Experience and/or Call Center Operations
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and/or lean principles
- Cable or DSL internet service with 12 mbps download and 2 mbps upload
- Wired ethernet cable connection
- Quiet environment during work hours with no distractions
- In-home office environment that is ergonomic, comfortable, and in its own space separate from the living space
- Office equipment other than the PC (desk, chair, lighting)
- Work a non-traditional work schedule within the hours of operation (8 a.m. - 8 p.m. EST)
- Work for extended periods of time at a desk
- Converse using a headset
- Typing 35 wpm
