Job Summary
Define and review software architecture and technical solutions for mission-critical railway systems using VB.NET and SQL Server. Lead design reviews, approve pull requests, and guide the team in implementing scalable, maintainable software while mentoring developers and reducing technical debt. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements, manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, and ensure on-time delivery of safety-critical features. Identify technical risks, consolidate stakeholder knowledge on railway domains, and influence delivery execution to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with VB.NET development
- Solid experience with SQL Server, including queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
- Proven experience in technical leadership or senior role
- Strong knowledge of software architecture and design patterns
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Boards, Pipelines)
- CI/CD implementation and management
- Experience conducting code reviews
- Experience conducting design reviews
- Experience conducting technical analysis and pull request approvals
- Ability to define and evaluate technical solutions and trade-offs
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and ensure delivery within deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Fast learning skills to understand domain knowledge related to railway systems
- Advanced English (mandatory)
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally, according to project and customer needs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with railway systems or train dispatching systems
- Knowledge of mission-critical or real-time systems
- Experience with legacy systems modernization
- Familiarity with DevOps culture and automation strategies beyond CI/CD
- Full-stack knowledge is a plus
