Job Summary
Establish company-wide technical standards and lead architectural choices for large, cross-team projects in real-time accounting, reconciliation, and billing systems. Own products end-to-end from requirements to production deployment while mentoring engineers and applying agile methodologies like pair and mob programming. Solve complex technical challenges at massive scale using Java, Kotlin, and cloud-native AWS infrastructure. Lead a team of payments nerds transforming global payment complexity, shaping the future of LatAm products with a focus on customer outcomes and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Deep hands-on experience in backend engineering
- Strong proficiency in Java (or other general-purpose programming languages)
- Solid grasp of clean code principles
- Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-availability products and microservices
- Strong familiarity with cloud-native environments—preferably AWS (or comparable experience with Azure/GCP)
- Experience with containerized deployments and cloud workflows
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Ability to articulate technical ideas clearly
- Ability to collaborate effectively across a diverse team
- 3 days / week on site expectation
- Hybrid working structure
