Job Summary
Tech Lead Java role to modernize and re-platform the global S&OP engine for Decathlon Digital. Lead backend development with Java 21, Spring Boot 4.x, and Elasticsearch, drive architecture evolution (DDD, Clean Architecture), ensure global availability, mentor a 5-person engineering team, coordinate with Front-end React, Spark ETL, and Data Analysts; focus on scalable search, data processing, performance tuning, and robust testing. Hybrid work in Nantes, France.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years Java backend experience
- Elasticsearch expertise
- Experience with large-scale data and search systems
- Experience with architectural migrations (DDD, Clean Architecture)
- Leadership of a small engineering team (5+ engineers)
- Collaboration with Front-end React, Spark ETL, and Data Analysts
- Proficiency with Java 21, Spring Boot 4.x
- GCP, Kubernetes, FluxCD (DevOps familiarity)
- TDD, JUnit 5, Testcontainers, SonarCloud
- Scala/Spark (ETL) and React (front-end) are a plus
